Plotting: The Reapings

OOC plotting for how the reapings go! I'll make a top post for each district so as to keep this all nice and organized.

Robin is a Career, but another female tribute is chosen to volunteer instead of her. Robin is grumpy about this. Miraculously, she gets reaped, so she chooses to take the spot instead of letting the chosen tribute volunteer.

Andalus has secretly been planning to enter the Games for a while, taking out tesserae like a mofo but hiding it from his family by giving the stuff away. He's been trying for two years but failing, and this year, the male Career lost his nerve, so Andalus volunteered.

Hettie is a Career and she volunteers as per usual routine.

Derevo lives in an orphanage and he's one of the oldest kids there, so every year, he takes out a shitload of tesserae in place of the other kids. He knew his number was probably up this year, so he's not surprised when he gets reaped. He's just glad he was able to avoid it for as long as he did.

Alexis's little brother gets reaped and Julek volunteers for him in a panic of not being able to do anything about it. Guena is rly mad but quietly reassures her son that yeah he can totally murder people it's nbd.

Faustene just gets reaped. Unsurprising, since she took over the orphanage that her friend Nicholas ran before he, too, was reaped and killed in a previous games. She doesn't put up a fight, though she's clearly unhappy about it. And even more unhappy when Julek gets himself thrown up there for a reason she can't help think is stupid (partially out of jealousy). Considering they have Guena along for the ride, she's not exactly confident she's the one her team's going to be rooting for.

Lewis gets reaped on his first year because he's basically the unluckiest kid alive. A lot of people feel bad for him, but of course there's nobody to volunteer for him. He nearly faints when his name is called, but manages to make it through the ceremony. His only living relative--his uncle--doesn't visit him before he's taken to the trains.

Vead gets reaped but doesn't hear his name being called on account of being deaf. :C Many familial tears during visitation, but he remains just kind of dumbstruck throughout the whole thing. He's happy to have Riggit with him, though.

Riggit spent years taking out tesserae so her younger siblings wouldn't have to. Then she got reaped. Oops. She wasn't entirely surprised, but still cried a lot. :(

Dorian thought he would be reaped in the last two years because he thinks his sister was reaped as punishment for their parents' rebelliousness. He is not surprised when it happens this time. He does, however, have a surprise for the Capitol viewers, when he flips the whole crowd off and gets dragged off stage screaming obscenities.

Arsenia doesn't expect to be reaped...but then, she's also not terribly surprised, either. Having been born sick, she was expected to die in infancy but stubbornly held on into her teenage years, mostly a recluse. Without proper medicine being provided in District 12, it's nothing short of a miracle she's lasted this long. She figures this was bound to happen eventually. She's still scared, of course, but gets through her reaping to the best of her abilities, mortified at the attention Dorian's causing.
